I have 2 jacks. One, after lifting a heavy object would continue to lift but not go down. I bought another one (years ago) and we were leveling the neighbors sauna and the building shifted a little and now I have the same problem .
I noticed the lower small rod was bent so I put in a kit. It still won’t go down unless I use a screw drive to put behind the small rod and pull it out. What can I do to correct this?

Got same problem as example above. Will not go down except for the screw driver assist. What is the repair or solution ?
